Another Star Wars Celebration has come and gone, but lasting long after the event are the memories guests take with them — as well as the excitement for the future of a galaxy far, far away.
Thanks to various social media posts and videos, it is clear that love for The Acolyte was definitely in attendance. Pictures of cosplay, merchandise, and the excitement for the release dates of upcoming novels and art books have been all over social media.
Standing prominently among all of it were the many videos from the panel featuring Manny Jacinto. Nowhere was it more clear that there is still love for the show and its characters. As Mr. Jacinto left the stage, he was sent off by the fond chanting of “Season two! Season two!” from a large and very enthusiastic crowd.
It is abundantly clear that, in spite of online hate, The Acolyte has earned its place in the Star Wars lexicon — and fans still hold hope that there might still be a future for the show.
With the love for The Acolyte on full display, I ask you, people of Lucasfilm:
Are you really going to let such love fade away?
Once more, I urge you to reconsider the future of The Acolyte. Its characters have endeared themselves to so many people who dearly wish to see their stories continue.
The fans chanted for season two with genuine passion and enthusiasm. Just imagine how happy — and how loud — fans will cheer when they finally hear what they, myself included, so eagerly wish to hear:
