A Dream Come True: Launch of the Save The Acolyte Campaign

It was 12:48 a.m.; in other places, due to the time difference, it was still early. However, many of us were anxiously waiting for Amandla’s billboard to appear, wishing them a happy and beautiful birthday. And I won’t deny it: when we saw it, it was a feeling of happiness, relief, and excitement. Because, quoting one of our members, "three weeks ago we only had a dollar and a dream," but now that dream has become a reality.
On October 23, 2024, we officially launched our Save The Acolyte campaign outside of social media, starting in Times Square, New York. This special moment coincided with the birthday of the show's star, Amandla Stenberg. Throughout the day, from 12:48 a.m. to 11:48 p.m. (NY time), a billboard was displayed in Times Square congratulating them on their birthday. We wish Amandla a wonderful day! We hope this new year is filled with achievements and opportunities.
This initiative was made possible thanks to the generous support of everyone who donated on GoFundMe and the dedicated efforts of the Acolyte fandom. We are deeply grateful for the encouragement and trust from all the fans of the series.
For the entire Acolyte team, it was a beautiful surprise to see that Amandla was able to see their birthday gift. We are truly excited, happy, and enthusiastic about this moment! To conclude this memorable day, Amandla shared a heartfelt post on Instagram expressing their joy upon seeing the billboard. Their excitement resonated with us, and we were overwhelmed with happiness knowing that they appreciated this special tribute. It truly warmed our hearts to see their happiness, reminding us of the power of community and support.
We believe this campaign will help attract more people to the series and demonstrate our deep love and appreciation for the cast and crew, who have done such a wonderful job. We want everyone to know how much we value them and how much they mean to us. We hope Disney and Lucasfilm will hear us, recognize the potential of the series, and choose to renew The Acolyte.
